We offer the following types of fishing charters in San Diego:
- WHALE WATCHING - Come on out and enjoy a relaxing day in Mission Bay sightseeing our pristine coastline with friends and family all the while sipping on your favorite beverage. Morning, afternoon and sunset are available. We can customize your trip to whale watching, sunset cruise or nighttime Seaworld fireworks for the entire family. Trips are from 2- 4 hours. - HARBOR CRUISE - Enjoy San Diego Bay while sipping on your favorite beverage, Sunset date night, or just to enjoy cruising on the water with your family....$400
- HALF DAY - Welcome to Marisol Sportfishing. Our half day trips are perfect for the entire family. We usually go offshore looking for yellowtail, tuna and dorado yet we stay close to home. Sometimes when the the fish are not cooperating, we will hit our favorite deep water spots for red snapper, lingcod and other rockfish which are as delicious as can be. Our Sportfishing charters are always searching for the best experience you can have in beautiful San Diego. We are great with the beginning angler. We provide rods, reels and tackle so you don’t have too. $1050
- ¾ Day Trip - Our ¾ day trip is very popular with offshore anglers looking for a variety of fish. We will venture down the Mexico coast looking for kelp paddies. This trip offers a lot of time on the water so we may be able to get a morning or afternoon bite. Our target Species include tuna, yellowtail and mahi. We also have the ability to even mix it up and look at some rockfish as well. It is not uncommon to hook the stray marlin from time to time. We will be using live bait and trolled lures. Tackle may be provided for all trips. $1995
- FULL DAY - We are so lucky to live in San Diego! Trophy bluefin tuna, yellowfin, bigeye, albacore, yellowtail, dorado, swordfish & marlin can be found as close as 10 miles offshore. Our full day trips have a range of up to 75 miles offshore. This gives our guests the best shot of catching a wide variety. It is not uncommon for our trips to be off of Ensenada or San Clemente Island. Imagine being with your family or best friends. You are the only ones on the boat other than your captain. It’s wide open fishing and your celebrating with an ice cold Corona while watching the sunset on your way back to the dock. When you get in, your fish can be brought to a processor where they filet and vacuum seal your catch. If your traveling from out of town, shipping can also be arranged for your catch. Marisol is a 31’ Tiara open sportfisher. She has two bait tanks, a 13’ beam which offers more room to fish, twin Volvo Penta diesel engines and all of the latest in electronics. - OFFSHORE BIG BLUEFIN - How lucky are we? The sportfishing in San Diego industry is the home to some of the best big bluefin tuna in the world. Six years ago these big guys showed up and never left. Catches of fish upwards of 230 lbs have now become the norm for the San Diego sportfishing fleet. And now thanks to the advancements in tackle and technique, Madmacs and Flyers, the fishing charters San Diego are catching, not fishing. Marisol Sportfishing offers a Bluefin Fishing Charter specifically designed for one thing; to catch a fish of a lifetime. Our full day trip includes tackle, helium, flyers, madmacs and anything and everything else required to hook and land one of these beautiful Pacific Bluefin. ABSOLUTE BLAST!!! Best private charter we’ve been on! Captain Ron took us to his honey hole and landed us on limits of Red Snapper. Top notch clean boat and equipment. I went with my buddy and my 15 year old son. Captain Ron was super patient with us and is an amazing captain and person to be around, would highly recommended!!!
Had a great day's fishing with capt Ron! We took the trip down to Mexican waters, had a couple of tuna strikes then caught a bunch of mahi-mahi. Capt Ron is quite the fisherman, and we all thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with him. Will we go again? Absolutely, he knows his stuff and has excellent boat handling skills, and also knows where to have your fish prepped and packed for shipping as soon as you get off the boat.
I've been out twice now with Captain Ron on the Marisol, and both times were everything you hope for and more on a fishing trip. We caught yellowtail, yellowfin, and dorado. I can't wait for our next trip out!
Had a fantastic day with Captain Ron on the Marisol! I've never been fishing before, so I had no idea what I was doing. When I did get a fish on the line Captain Ron was there to coach me and help me reel in my first blue fin tuna. So much fun and would definitely recommend a day of fishing with Captain Ron!
Recently decided to go on a fishing trip here in San Diego and down into Mexico water. Captain Ron was very helpful from the start with getting the international day license to sharing what to pack for trip essentials. We arrived at the marina early, loaded the boat and within short time we were FISH ON! Best trip! Captain Ron was excellent. Highly recommended!
